The Home HQ Maintenance Calendar & Log
Your house and routines don't need more of your time. They need 15 minutes a month.
For the past three years, my husband and I have run our home on one spreadsheet. Not an app, not a binder, not a Pinterest board of good intentions. One spreadsheet, checked once a month.
Here's what I've learned: a house that gets a little attention every month is a house that isn't constantly breaking. Most months, our check-in is 2 or 3 items. That's it. And when something does break (it happens), we're not Googling "plumber near me" at 11pm. We already know exactly who to call, how they like to be booked, and how they get paid, because it's all in the Home Directory.
This template is that exact system, cleaned up, preloaded with starter content, and written so you can be running it this weekend.
Who this is for
Anyone running a household who is tired of being the household's memory. If you've ever asked "wait, when did we last clean the gutters?" or paid an emergency rate for something a $200 tune-up would've prevented, this was built for you.
What's inside
15 tabs that hold your entire household, including:
The system: a plain-English guide to the 15-minute monthly routine, plus a setup checklist that has you up and running in your first hour
The vendor brain: everyone you call to keep your house standing, with how to book them, how to pay them, and what you really thought of them
The calendar: seasonal checklists preloaded with the maintenance tasks most homeowners forget, so you're never starting from a blank page
The extras: the tabs people ask me about most, for all the household details that currently live only in your head
How it works
Put a recurring 15-minute appointment on your calendar (first Sunday of the month works great).
Open the current season tab and scan for anything not yet marked for this year.
Book it, log it, mark it done. That's the whole system. The calendar appointment IS the system.
Details
Instant digital download: Excel file
Gray sample rows throughout show you exactly how to fill in each tab (delete as you go)
No formulas to break, no software to learn
Licensed for personal, single-household use
